The notebook is the activity guide and durable handout for the workshop.

Python in Biology

The 2026 workshop uses one student notebook for the in-person activities. It runs in Google Colab, so no local Python installation is required.

Open the student notebook in Colab ↗

Before editing, use File → Save a copy in Drive so your work is saved to your own Google Drive.

Before the workshop

  1. Sign in to a Google account that can use Google Colab.
  2. Open the notebook using the button above.
  3. Confirm that the notebook loads. You do not need to run it in advance.
